Thank you again for your prayers and support. You have no idea how much they mean to us. Over the last few months those prayers have been extremely helpful.
It’s been a crazy last three months! In addition to all the daily responsibilities with the Mission and in the churches, we had our wedding in Brazil. We had our honeymoon. We had our trip to the United States and our reception here … and a lot of other things going on. It has been a whirlwind!
We have enjoyed being back in the States, allowing things to slow down a bit. We are having fun visiting with people, seeing my family, my nephews, my niece. We are also trying to get things done … visiting doctors and attending different meetings. Our next scheduled furlough won’t be till 2016, so we’re trying to get as much done here as we can while we are here.
The wedding in Brazil was amazing. There was so much work involved, but everything paid off in the end. Denise’s family and friends turned a shelter house and soccer field in to a dream wedding.

It was a powerful night, not just because we were joined together but also because God was near. We could sense the Holy Spirit strongly. There weren’t many dry eyes among us all.

Our trip to the U.S. has been great. Our honeymoon was a blast. We traveled from Miami to Columbus, stopping in various places enjoying the sites.
We also had a wedding reception here in the States. We really wanted the evening to be simple and laid back. It was a great night. It was fun to see faces from the various stages of my life and Denise having the opportunity to meet so many people whose lives have impacted me over the years. Again, it was just what we wanted.

We still have another several weeks here in the United States. We are trying to meet with as many people as we can, but our schedule has filled up quickly. We will also be traveling for a week with my family and are looking forward to relaxing on the beach at the Outerbanks in North Carolina. I’m excited to have Denise join me for her first Meyer Family Vacation.
Of course, we are also very much looking forward to going back to Brazil and starting the next season of our lives together. We have missed our friends and family there, and are also excited to see our pets (Mel and Lucy) and our new addition, Lily the pit bull who will be our future guard dog and daughter.
Lily, our newest “daughter”
As exciting as these last three months have been, Denise and I can’t wait to be able to put aside all the busyness of moving into our house and marriage preparation, and start learning how to work in ministry together. Helping to train and raise up new Brazilian leaders, beginning a small group, reaching out to small river communities, worship ministry, discipleship and continuing our travels to other northern Brazil church plants are all on our radar. With God’s guidance, we truly believe that our impact and influence will be greater working together than our impact has been as individuals.
– Please continue to pray for us as we seek God’s direction and move into ministry together in Brazil.
– Pray for continued growth in our financial support.
– Pray for fruitfulness in our ministry, both within the churches and reaching out to the community.
Thanks again for all of your support and prayers. We love hearing from you.
In His Service,
Christopher & Denise
